Emily Balz Smith Foundation
Emily Smith has spent most of her adult life in Jacksonville, FL. She currently serves as Chair of the Nonprofit Center Marketing and Membership Committee. With a background in banking and real estate, her passion is for community involvement. She served 12 years on the District Board of Florida State College at Jacksonville, and in the leadership positions as FSCJ Foundation Chair and as Co-chair for the foundation’s largest fundraising campaign ($14 million with matching funds) at that time.
Emily serves as a mentor and fund raiser for Young Lives, a ministry for teen moms in Duval County, which she helped to found. She is on the Board of Seamark Ranch, a Christian home for abused and neglected children, and has been recognized as a Woman of Distinction.
Emily graduated from Emory University with a BBA in Marketing.
