Description
Join the Nonprofit Center as we bring the renowned “Governance Gladiator," Vernetta Walker, JD, to the Northeast Florida nonprofit community! This exceptional day-long program will help you to become more adaptive in today's challenging environment by strengthening the diversity and governance structure of your board of directors. Through relevant data and insights around current leadership imperatives, such as board development and engagement, and promotion of deeper dialogue around diversity, equity, and inclusion, you should be able to identify cultural influences of the board that impact organizational processes. Participants will leave with practical tips to create an action plan that leads to greater organizational authenticity and success!

This workshop is a great way to orient a new Board member or revive your current Board. It is appropriate for all nonprofit organizations’ CEOs/EDs, key staff, and Board members. We recommend attending this workshop with a team of staff and Board members.

Special thanks to Martha Baker, Dori Walton, and the Giving Forward Community Endowment Fund at The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida for their generous support of this event.
