LGBTQI+ Inclusion in Nonprofits - Reflective Practice Circle Nonprofit Staff

8:30 - 11:30 a.m.

Nonprofit Center of Northeast Florida
The Nonprofit Center of Northeast Florida
Jessie Ball duPont Center, 40 East Adams Street
Room 39 - Lower Level
Jacksonville, FL 32202
Through generous funding from the LGBT Community Fund at the Community Foundation for Northeast Florida, the Nonprofit Center will spend time conducting a reflective practice inquiry that will bring people together to identify needs and answer questions like:

• How much LGBTQI+ training expertise exists in our community and who “owns” it?
• What are the needs of nonprofit sector organizations, and what is our plan to get there?
• How can we widen the circle so that more organizations are jumping on board, building a culture where intentional inclusivity becomes the norm, not the exception?

The answers to some of the above questions, as well as other key insights and learnings from the reflective practice circles would then be documented and turned into research available to the entire sector.

Each of these events would focus on a different audience and the first of these circles is intended for nonprofit staff as well as those that have participated in our LGBTQ Employee Resource Group. We would love for you to be part of these conversations as you have valuable insight into the culture of your nonprofit organizations and how the topic of inclusion is addressed both internally and externally.

*Breakfast included.
