Description
FASB’s Accounting Standards Update (ASU) 2016-14, Presentation of Financial Statements of Not-for-Profit Entities, contains changes in reporting requirements that will significantly affect how nonprofits present financial statements.

This ASU is effective for fiscal years beginning after December 15, 2017. Now is the time to prepare for the upcoming changes. The ASU significantly amends the current reporting model for not-for-profit entities and enhances their required disclosures.

Lee Klumpp, National Partner with BDO, USA LLP who co-authored “How to Read Nonprofit Financial Statements, A Practical Guide” will speak from DC via webinar about what these changes will be and talk about implementation ideas and potential difficulties. Tracy Deadman, Audit Manager, will co-facilitate the conversation from Jacksonville and be available to answer questions for the group.

The Nonprofit Center is so pleased to have BDO share this important information about changes that will occur to accounting standards in 2018. We hope you join us to learn how this will impact your organization and what you need to do to prepare your team before the end of the year.
