Shaping your "pitch" and communicating with stakeholders across multiple platforms and environments is a constant challenge for nonprofits. Meet Your Value Guides:

Al Emerick

Throughout a career which has spanned broadcasting and television, healthcare, nonprofit, and brand identity, Al has remained rooted in communication, leadership and messaging. Within healthcare, he led the national re-branding of one of the nation’s largest clinical outsourcing companies. During a 25+ year broadcasting and television career, Al has been a spokesman, voice and creative director for more than 500 brands and 12,000 commercials. He has developed platforms as a motivational speaker and emcee for more than a quarter of a million people. Al’s passion for helping start-ups and entrepreneurs led him to curate and direct a training curriculum for One Spark, formerly the world’s largest crowdfunding festival. After recognizing the struggle people and business have conveying the value of their ideas, Al founded ValueMapping™ to help society more deeply understand and be able to authentically communicate value through impact. Today, ValueMapping is Al’s purpose, lifting private industry, non-profit, small business, and individuals through consulting, workshops and online training.

Joe Snowberger
Joe's career in the U.S. Navy included earning his way from Seaman, through Chief Petty Officer to Naval Officer. He excelled as a Cryptologist, Program Manager, Surface Warfare Officer and Electronics Warfare Technician. His second career has included operational leadership in field service operations and innovative program management and technical training in interactive multimedia instruction. Joe has flourished both a business and community leader. He served as the Secretary of Veteran’s Affair’s community economic liaison, co-founded the Veterans Transition Network and founded Veteran Compass, LLC. Joe was recently awarded The President’s Volunteer Service Award and was also named one of Jacksonville Business Journal’s Veterans of Influence and is a member of the 2015 Leadership Jacksonville Class.
With a bachelor’s degree from Troy State and an MBA from Webster, Joe continues to learn and evolve while fulfilling one of his passion's, showing people how to identify and communicate their value.

Pat Shea
Pat excels at constructing and developing high performing teams who has dedicated a professional lifetime to leadership. As a former US Navy officer and non-profit executive, Pat helps individuals and teams aspire to and meet “big hairy audacious goals,” applying people-centric tools developed through his U.S. Naval Academy and University of Rhode Island education. His previous roles include service with American Red Cross, Operations Director for U.S. Naval Forces in Central and South America, Commanding Officer of two warships supporting global Naval operations, and assignments to the Joint and Navy staffs at the Pentagon. Pat is a Master Training Specialist and has graduate degrees in business administration and international relations.
