Successful fundraising is built on relationships. Donors need to feel appreciated and valued and know that their involvement with your organization has a long-lasting impact. This session will discuss the importance of stewardship and introduce new ideas to enhance the quality of your donor relationships.

Join Marcus Haile, MPA, CFRE, Executive Director, Learn to Read, who will lead this engaging workshop!

About Marcus:
Marcus has been involved in fundraising for nonprofits for over 25 years, not including the work he did as neighborhood canvasser in high school. He began his career operating the small Karpeles Manuscript Museum in Springfield, but then went on to focus on development work at the Cultural Council of Jacksonville, United Way of Northeast Florida, Communities in Schools, PACE Center for Girls, and the Cathedral Arts Project. He is currently providing fundraising and organizational management consulting while also serving as the Executive Director for Learn to Read Jacksonville.

Marcus is a graduate of the University of North Florida having received his Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and Master’s Degree in Public Administration. He received his CFRE certification in 2012. He gives back to the profession by volunteering as a Community Coach in fundraising with the Nonprofit Center of Northeast Florida and writing a small number of articles on his blog at marcushaile.com and nationally at Raise-Funds.com.
