Eligibility & Guidelines

Any local nonprofit may post a free project to WeGive.org®, provided the organization meets the following requirements:

  1. Be a 501(c)3 organization as defined by the Internal Revenue Service
  2. Post a project located within Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau, or St. Johns counties
  3. Provide a copy of your IRS determination letter to the Nonprofit Center by email.  
  4. Be registered with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

If your nonprofit meets all the criteria above, then the project posted must:

  1. Have a total project goal of no more than $2,500.
  2. Have an end date that does not exceed six months from the project’s start date.
  3. Be approved by your organization’s primary contact and the Nonprofit Center’s WeGive.org® administrator.
  4. Project may not be an annual, capital, one-time event, or sales fundraising initiative.

Note: The Nonprofit Center prescreens all project pages for approval, and reserves the right to refuse any project at its sole discretion, for any or no reason, including user content that in the sole judgement of the Nonprofit Center violates the Terms of Use Agreement, Eligibility Guidelines, or which might be offensive, illegal, or that might violate the rights, harm, or threaten the safety of users or others.
