Essential duties and responsibilities

• Cultivating contacts within the community to increase awareness and opportunities for collaboration. • Promote education and outreach to other agencies, schools, and groups throughout Clay County. • Engage volunteers and encourage agency support. • Represent Quigley House in the community by delivering presentations in schools, community centers, and other public forums. • Through outreach and networking, schedule educational presentations throughout Clay County. • Recruit and retain volunteers for all programs. Maintain volunteer personnel files and produce reports • Attend volunteer/career fairs to recruit interns and other volunteers. • Match volunteers’ skills and interests with appropriate programs and agency needs for services. • Provide orientation, coordinate training for direct service volunteers, and on-going training updates. • Create a weekly social media calendar. Manage Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. • Develop newsletters for internal and external communications.


• Must be able to successfully network with community partners and facilitate educational programs. • Position requires excellent communication and organizational skills. • Computer word processing, spreadsheet, and database proficiency. • Must be able to work independently and flexible hours as needed, including occasional evening and weekend hours for special events. • A valid driver’s license and dependable transportation required. • Vehicle insurance must be maintained. Must meet eligibility requirements for Quigley House, Inc. vehicle insurance coverage. • Must pass an extensive criminal background check.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience of at least two years in the human services, education, communications, or related field. Preference is given to those with volunteer management experience.
