The Director of Client Services and Programs is a senior leadership team member responsible for leadership of BEAM’s emergency financial assistance program, Single Parent Project and the Senior Case Management initiative, as well as special community events and projects. The principal responsibilities include providing strategic direction and implementation of BEAM’s direct client services, the establishment of policies and procedures that result in a consistent and high-quality customer experience, ensuring quality assurance and providing leadership and support to a very dedicated and passionate team of employees and volunteers. The position works in close partnership with community partners and volunteers to ensure that clients experience services and assistance in a dignified, efficient and supportive environment.

Essential duties and responsibilities

• Develops and implements programs and services to support the organization’s strategic priorities and tactical plans. • Develops and implements processes and procedures to assure services are provided efficiently for all clients, while maintaining confidentiality. • Continuously monitors and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures; plans and implements adjustments as necessary. • Oversees all aspects of BEAM’s case management initiatives (Single Parent Project and Senior Case Management Program) including: recruitment, selection, enrollment, retention and length of service plans to ensure positive outcomes. • Supervises staff (4), interns and volunteers who support emergency financial assistance and case management services to clients with diverse needs. • Supervises Client Service Coordinators (2) at the Jax Beach and Mayport office locations that are responsible for coordinating and supervising front desk volunteers who perform intake, client scheduling and data entry. • Oversees all program and client outcome measurements, data collection and reporting procedures to inform donors and staff of program results and to adhere to all funders’ reporting requirements. • Assist in the development of all BEAM Impact and Annual Reports • Ensures effective management of client files to ensure required documentation is complete and confidential. • Proactively establishes and maintains relationships with community groups, providers and leaders to foster collaborative partnerships; negotiates MOU’s as needed. • Establishes strategies and processes that will encourage and allow emergency financial assistance clients to access and benefit from additional services that BEAM offers directly or through referrals to other partner organizations. • Organizes and supports community events utilizing volunteers and community stakeholders. • Develops and manages all Social Services and program budgets. • Represents BEAM in the community and advocates for issues surrounding basic needs, such as housing and food insecurity. • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Ability to manage crises and empathize with clients; ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints; • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents and reports • Ability to assist in writing grants, letters, plans, and articles • Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on controversial topics in the areas of social determinants of well-being and the needs of vulnerable populations. • Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; ability to make concise and accurate reports and solve problems • Commitment to the mission of the organization. • Strong cultural competence; ability to build positive relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders including donors and volunteers for faith-based and grassroots organizations.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or 5 years’ experience in program management. • Experience in program development, project leadership and supervision. • Knowledge of local nonprofits, Medicaid, DCF, Elder Care and other services for low-income individuals and families.

Salary/Salary Range

$ 64k - $ 78k / year
