Provides development and marketing leadership. Leads the organization’s efforts in obtaining financial and other support to sustain its work. Manages the overall marketing and promotional functions to market an appropriate image, develop ties with the community, and achieve membership/participation goals. Leads fundraising strategies including cultivating and stewarding of major donors, growing sponsorships for special events, engaging Board of Directors and volunteers, fostering relationships throughout the community, and promoting in-kind donations. Supervises development team and oversees agency communications, public relations, marketing, special events planning, and grant development, plus volunteer, Parish and community outreach efforts.
Essential duties and responsibilities
-Responsible for fundraising through operating gifts from companies and individuals, grants from private foundations, and revenue generating events -Responsible for developing fundraising campaigns and events the ensure the financial growth of CCB Jax. -Responsible for developing and implementing short term and long-term strategic fundraising plans. -Researches, identifies, and solicits companies, foundations, and individuals whose interests and priorities match current or prospective projects -Direct and obtain gifts that support agency fundraising goals including memberships and sponsorships for special events. -Ensures development and fundraising activities are in line with Agency strategic plan and are in compliance with agency policies and COA accreditation standards. -Oversee Volunteer & Donations Development Coordinator who manages volunteer efforts for the agency and assist in securing in-kind donations to support the programs. -Engages in continuous long- and short-term revenue planning. -Lead the agency strategies for marketing, PR and communications. -Primary contact to ensure agency website is updated regularly; social media is active; collateral materials and communications to the public, donors, funders, volunteers and other stakeholders are professional, accurate and timely. -Responsible for presenting a positive public image and increasing the agency’s awareness in the community. -Develops fundraising plans and budgets designed to achieve growth over prior year. -Works strategically to ensure key fundraising best practices are followed and key performance benchmarks are achieved. -Develops fundraising plans and budgets designed to achieve growth over prior year. -Works strategically to ensure key fundraising best practices are followed and key performance benchmarks are achieved. -Engages in continuous long- and short-term revenue planning. -Identifies, recruits/renews, and cultivates/stewards new and veteran corporate sponsors, committee members, team leaders, chairs, and volunteers for assigned events/campaigns/initiatives. -Identifies prospective board members and individual donors. -Renews and works to deepen engagement of participants, committee members, community members and sponsors. -Identifies and assists with cultivation of prospects for Individual Giving, events/campaigns and corporate participation -Recruits, trains, manages, and cultivates volunteers and committee members to assist with fundraising. -Develops sponsorship proposals. -Seeks underwriting, in-kind donations and auction items for assigned events. -Effectively articulate, verbally and in writing, Catholic Charities history, mission, vision, and programs to potential funding sources. -Responsible for identifying and securing sources of support for the pursuit of the organization’s mission. Ensures documentation of charitable intent and records all donor interactions and donor tracking to manage the cultivation list of current appeal prospects, including a relationship, ask amount, solicitation assignments, priority, timing and any notes. -Works with contractor to ensure consistent scheduling and maintains social media calendar. -Ensure that the CCB Jax team has collateral to provide presentations throughout the community, to leadership, Board and Diocesan leadership. -Ensure compliance with Council on Accreditation (COA) standards. -Provide development reports, ensuring development data is presented and elevated to management and committees. -Effectively manage personnel in the Development department including training, supervision, performance evaluation, and establishing department goals and evaluation. Develop and maintain staff relationships to achieve high staff morale, productivity, teamwork and retention. -Hold regular meetings with individual staff members to provide evaluation, coaching and feedback. -Effectively manage personnel in the Development department including training, supervision, performance evaluation, and establishing department goals and evaluation. Schedules and maintains social media calendar. -Supervise the Development Coordinator who manages outreach and special events. -Supervise the Development team which is instrumental in writing and reporting on agency grants and supervise grant writer or grant contractor. -Participate in the development of the agency's plans and programs as a strategic partner, providing strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the agency -Conduct workshops and make community presentations related to agency activities and fundraising. -Enforce established development policies and procedures. -Oversee donor correspondence and donor stewardship. -Plan and coordinate Board of Directors Development Committee activities. -Maintain confidentiality of all records and apply discretion and appropriate security measures in the handling of confidential information. -Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
-Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, human services, public administration or related field. Master’s degree preferred. -A minimum of 6 years non-profit fundraising, development and marketing. -A minimum of 3 years of supervisory non-profit management. -Certified Fund-Raising Executive a plus.
