Maintain the Agency’s facilities located at Enterprises Plaza, Orange Park, Enterprise Way, Green Cove Springs, various residential houses in Clay County and to maintain the Agency’s vehicle fleet.

Essential duties and responsibilities

Follow all Challenge Enterprises of North Florida, Inc. policies and procedures as set forth in the Board of Directors approved Personal Handbook. Follow and or establish daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual maintenance schedule Follow and or establish agency procedures for processing maintenance requests. Delegate to ensure all maintenance requests have been completed in a timely manner and documented. Communicate with the executive staff and tenants regarding their maintenance issues and concerns Follow the agency's bidding procedures for large maintenance requests (over $500) Follow the agency's purchasing procedures for large equipment purchases ($over $500) and maintain a Standard Operating Procedure manual for the facilities and fleet. Solicit bids for work to be performed by a contractor. Perform tasks personally whenever possible reduce the risk of contracting with independents Responsible for the overall cleanliness, maintenance, appearance, safety at all agency facilities. Direct and supervise the maintenance and fleet department. Train and evaluate the staff. Attend weekly staff meetings Establish a routine for maintenance staff to follow Prepare weekly reports on scheduled projects and future projects. Responsible for safety compliance at all agency facilities including Driver Safety training. Responsible for maintenance of tools, equipment and storage areas Available to tenants via cell phone, fax or office voice mail Coordinate lease agreements with tenants as directed by Supervisor or designated representative. Responsible for vehicle maintenance, repairs, and emergency road issues. Maintain logs on all vehicles Document maintenance services. Assist executive staff with the solicitation of donations for labor, equipment and materials as needed. Coordinate new projects with executive staff and project staff. Work with volunteers to assist with activities Request volunteer support from Volunteer Coordinator Become knowledgeable of all the agency's activities Be flexible when schedule changes occur that interfere with daily activities Prioritize all work and set timelines for completion of tasks (maintenance/Outlook calendar) Inspect and evaluate agency needs to ensure safe healthy facilities and vehicles Work cooperatively with all agency staff, participants, and customers Represent the agency in a professional and positive manner. Other duties as assigned


Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to pass a background check. Must have a valid Florida Driver License with clean 3-year MVR. Must be able to pass pre-employment, local, drug test, level 2 and a nationwide background check. Must have a minimum of three years' experience supervising personnel Must have three years' experience in working with various computer programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Prefer a minimum of five (5) years' experience in automotive, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, machinery, and general building maintenance/construction. Must be able to lift 45-50 pounds, push, pull, climb a ladder, moving 7 hours per day Must be able to understand written and oral instructions and follow through efficiently Must be able to drive a vehicle to agency's facilities Must be able to speak and write English

Salary/Salary Range

50,000.00 -75,000.00
