Provides leadership and overall direction in the business of the Mission.
Directs a group of functions which includes the Finance and IT Department, all Social Enterprises, Facilities and Grounds, Security, Disaster Mitigation, Transportation, and Human Resources. Directs department budgets. Participates as a member of the senior management team.

Essential duties and responsibilities

• Manage, develop, and lead employees in all responsible departments. • Continuously adapt to a fast-paced growing nonprofit and stay continuously educated on the services provided. • Works with the management team to formulate and implement strategic plans and financial plans. • Assists Executive Director in making financial plans. • Develop budgets for the Mission as a whole, individual programs and new/proposed/expanded services, including the preparation of budget revisions as needed. • Prepare, analyze and present monthly financial reports for the agency, its programs, and activities. • Report on financial results and issues to the Executive Director and Board of Directors. • Oversee the Mission’s banking activities and actively manage cash flow to ensure it meets agency needs. • Manage accounting control systems and internal audits enduring the accurate and timely production of accounting information and financial reports. • Manage the agency’s liability insurance program, including ongoing risk analysis. • Review efficiency/effectiveness of employee benefit programs, seeking approaches to lower costs where possible and consistent with required quality levels. • Serve as the agency’s primary liaison with its independent Auditor to ensure the annual audit is completed smoothly and in a timely manner. • Ensures a timely and sound annual budget in advance of each year. • Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and to determine areas that need improvement • Think strategically, anticipate future consequences and trends, and incorporate them into the organizational plans. • Forecasts trends based on industry and general financial climate. • Ensure that each social enterprise reflects CRM’s Christian worldview, mission and values in all respects. • Continuously explore new ideas to expand social enterprise. • Create a risk analysis of each new idea, followed by a business plan and budget with projections of surplus revenue that may be applied to Mission program operations. • Initiates and implements plans to stay ahead of competitors, enhance efficiencies, and increase revenue in social enterprises. • Ensures customers have a remarkable experience with Mission. • Plan, direct, and coordinate the operations of production, pricing, sales, and distribution on products. • Develops comprehensive goals for performance and growth strategies. • Identify/implement business opportunities to improve customers’ experience. • Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of company vehicles and manage fleet. • Ensures the maintenance of buildings, materials, equipment, and tools; arrange repairs and prevent loss. • Service as safety compliance officer, which includes disaster mitigation and preparedness. • Adhere and enforce all company policies according to the Employee Handbook and OSHA Standards. • Conducts regular Safety Meetings and Safety Inspections. • Provide oral and written instructions; communicate effectively with all employees.

Qualifications

• Strong financial (P&L) management skills • Extensive experience controlling operating costs and monitoring actual vs. budget performance. • Ability to interpret financial data as needed to set production goals. • Leadership experience managing sales and production teams • Competency in a wide range of operational areas including fleet, logistics, inventory, general construction, permitting process, building codes, state/federal requirements, sales, scheduling, and dispatching • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills • Self-motivated, critical thinker with sound decision-making skills • Confident and natural communicator. • Microsoft Office experience required with emphasis on Excel. • Must have a valid driver’s license with a favorable driving record • Must pass a pre-employment background and drug test • Excellent interpersonal/human relations skills. • Ability to interact with diplomacy and tact amid influential clients and diverse groups. • Ability to maintain relationships with significant and influential individuals. • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality. • Commitment to collaborative work environment. • Exceptional written and oral communication skills. • Must provide a clear Biblical testimony of a personal experience of receiving, by faith, the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior. • Must maintain an exemplary Christian life and desire to serve the Lord in the ministry of reconciliation.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or related field required. MBA Preferred. • A minimum 5 years of senior management experience. • Knowledge and experience with Blackbaud products such as Financial Edge and Raiser’s Edge preferred • Business start-up and entrepreneurial experience preferred.

Salary/Salary Range

$65,000-$70,000
