Dreams Come True, The First Coast’s only locally based non-profit organization dedicated to fulfilling the dreams of local children battling life-threatening illnesses, is seeking to fill the position of Development Manager.
Essential duties and responsibilities
The position of Development Manager is a fundraising position with the primary focus on income generation, including the development of the organization’s signature 5K event, along with the management of its Young Professional’s Board and Kids Helping Kids program.
The position requires a high level of motivation, organization and passion to make a difference. Knowledge of the market and demonstrated success in the areas of volunteer development and special event fundraising is helpful. Experience in developing corporate partnerships, non-profit event management and customer relationship building is highly desirable. Strong presentation skills, interpersonal, verbal and written are essential.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience • 2-3 years successful fundraising or outside sales experience • Ability to accomplish results through strong volunteer recruitment, training and management • Highly effective organizational, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills • Detail oriented and ability to multi-task • Self-starter with the ability to work well in a team environment • Ability to attend some weekday evening meetings and perform some occasional weekend work
