The Early Learning Coalition of Duval is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring quality childcare and early education for Duval children. Through various affordable and innovative early education and voluntary prekindergarten programs, it serves more than 17,000 children age birth to 5 years old and their families annually. The Early Learning Coalition of Duval leads and supports the early learning community in building the best foundation for children from birth to five.

The President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for the overall leadership, organization, and management of the Early Learning Coalition of Duval and its programs and services as per governing statutes. The CEO advocates on behalf of and provides a community voice for early learning.

Essential duties and responsibilities

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate: Clear, strong vision for the organization and child development in Jacksonville Capacity to cultivate employee engagement and performance Strong financial acumen Ability to communicate actively and with passion Relatability for providers, families, and community stakeholders Decisive, sound judgement and decision making abilities Flexibility and adaptive to change Knowledge of the early childhood arena

Education and Experience

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required, a Master’s degree is highly preferred. Applicants should have at least 5 years of senior nonprofit management experience, including financial management. Early childhood delivery, non-profit, government, and strategic planning experience is a plus.

Salary/Salary Range

Minimum starting salary of $160,000
