The Parent Aide position serves as an in-home parent educator for families referred to the program to address a wide array of parenting issues, including those who self-refer. Parent Aide is a voluntary program, providing 6 – 12 months of in-home services to any family in Duval, Clay, Baker and Nassau counties. The Parent Aide must be able to work independently, and serve approximately 12 families weekly, complete the home visit and documentation for the visit, and meet with the Program Director weekly. Initially, the Parent Aide provides services in the customer\’s home and reports to the office to complete the case documentation requirements, however, after the initial 3 months, this is a hybrid position which allows for some work-from-home opportunity. Candidates must be patient, empathetic and able to work with a wide variety of clientele. ALL services are provided in the family\’s home and you will use your personal vehicle for transportation. Mileage will be reimbursed at the State of Florida rate. Staff receive PTO, holidays and participate in a Health Reimbursement Account (\’HRA\’). The HRA is not a group health insurance policy but provides up to $350 per month reimbursement for all medical expenses. Essential duties and responsibilities

Providing in-home parent education services to families who request assistance and/or families referred by DCF and other local social services agencies. The goal of the program is to assist parents in learning the skills necessary to provide a safe, stable and nurturing environment for their children. Candidates for this position must be patient, willing to assist parents in all areas of Duval, Clay, Baker and Nassau counties and work with parents from all socio-economic backgrounds. Education and Experience

Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field; at least one year of social services employment, preferably experienced with in-home service programs.

Salary/Salary Range

$40,000 - $45,000
