Catholic Charities Bureau, Inc., Jacksonville Regional Office is seeking a Fiscal Coordinator. This is a full-time, 35 hour a week, non-exempt position located in Jacksonville, FL. This position works directly with the Senior Director of Finance to provide accounting support to the Refugee Match Grant/APA departments. They are responsible for a variety of finance and budgeting functions including but not limited to preparing, processing, analyzing, interpreting, reconciling, maintaining, and verifying the correctness of a variety finance and budgeting data, records, and reports activities. This position also prepares, processes, and prints all check requests for the Match Grant / APA departments. Additionally, this position reviews for Compliance/Assurance on payments for clients based on grant guidelines.

Essential duties and responsibilities

Preparing, processing, and servicing Match Grant/APA check requests to ensure proper designation of funds. Printing and preparing check packets for Refugee departmental case managers. Preparing, processing, and recording deposits to ensure proper designation of funds. Process accounts payable and receivable transactions and ensure timely and accurate entry into the accounting software. Ensure that all revenues are reported timely in the accounting system and generate invoices to vendor as needed. Correctly enter required information in the agency/department databases. Maintain various accounting schedules (prepaid assets, accrued expenses, etc.) Monitor monthly invoicing and credit transaction; pay invoices processing to correct account each month. Assist in helping with special projects as requested by management. Follow the company’s established accounting processes. Copy of checks and invoices and file for the records Keep detailed and correct records. Maintain all records for review as needed. Other duties as assigned. Assist with monthly grant invoices.


Knowledge of non-profit billing and accounting principles. Knowledge of accounting software, Great Plains. Ability to report to work on time, follow directions from supervisor and accept constructive feedback. Effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Ability to interact effectively, compassionately, and respectfully with clients, visitors, staff, and board members. Strong typing and computer skills are required, including knowledge of and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and other software programs. Excellent organizational skills and able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines. High level of personal initiative and ability to work with minimal oversight. Ability to act calmly in crisis situations and to resolve conflicts in a constructive and effective manner. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to foster a cooperative work environment. Enthusiasm and the ability to thrive in an atmosphere of constant change. Ability to understand and follow agency policies and procedures. Ability to learn agency specific software. Excellent customer service skills.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration/Management, or related field preferred. A minimum of 3 years’ financial experience.

Salary/Salary Range

$18.00-$22.00 an hour
