Description

The Plus Bus Driver will be responsible for fueling the vehicle, conducting safety checks prior to deployment and upon return, powering and maintaining the generator and assisting with set up of events and clinics. This position requires an experienced driver with a clean driving record, basic understanding of generator operations / maintenance and experience driving a large vehicle. The unit is 48ft long.

Essential duties and responsibilities

-Drive Plus Bus to and from clinics and community events. -Aid with set up and event organization. -Help oversee and maintain inventory of Plus Bus. -Ensure that Plus Bus is in working order to include, fuel usage documentation and maintenance updates. -Facilitate community relationships and programs through verbal and physical promotion. -Meet with at risk individuals to aid in assessing community need. -Build, maintain and cultivate relationships with funders, facilitators, and community partners to encourage program delivery, sustainability, and growth -Provide support for annual report, awards, grants, and other activities assigned -Organize, track, and order educational, program, and office supplies as requested -Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Skills & Abilities: -Ability to work with diverse populations. -Excellent attention to detail -Ability to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks. -Ability to remain calm, focused, and helpful under stress -Possess excellent communication skills and ability to follow through with assigned tasks Preferences -Commercial driver’s license -EMT certification/ experience with clinical operations Additional Information: -Level 2 ACHA Screening required upon hire. -MVR Check required upon hire: -Active FL driver’s license -Active Auto insurance policy

Education and Experience

Education Required- High School/GED or better. Experience Required - 1 year: Driving large vehicles, familiarity with community programming, and experience with organizing and maintaining supply.
