The Program Coordinator in FreshMinistries’ youth division is responsible for the management and delivery of the Positive Action and Sport: PPW curricula and other drug/alcohol prevention strategies. The ideal candidate is comfortable delivering Evidenced Based Curricula within small-medium sized groups of middle and high school age youth. This program operates after school hours and on the weekend to provide fun, engaging and educational opportunities for youth who reside in Duval, Nassau and Clay Counties.
Essential duties and responsibilities
• Plan and implement the Positive Action and Sport: PPW curricula; • Work independently or within your group to deliver the information; • Evaluate the program outcomes and student successes; • Ensure deadlines are met (intake surveys, quarterly surveys, etc); • Maintain required project documentation; • Serve as a liaison between students and their families and FreshMinistries. Communicate with other FM staff and learn about additional support available for your group(s).
• Previous experience in a teaching environment preferred; • Strong project management skills; • Strong analysis and critical thinking skills; • Deadline and detail-oriented; • Strong leadership qualities; • Ability to work independently or within a group.
Education and Experience
• High School Diploma is required; • Must develop, implement and be willing to participate in quality on and off-site program activities and outreach events. • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, MS Office proficiency required. • Strong motivation and the ability to work independently. • Passion and interest in working with children and teens. • Knowledge of individual differences in ability, personality and interests; and, knowledge of learning styles, motivation techniques, group dynamics and how to manage large groups, • Ability to interact with a diverse population of clients both in terms of age, economic status and cultural background. • CPR, AED, First Aid and other work-related certifications required within 90 days of hire • Ability to work weekends and weeknights, or as needed depending on the children's availabilities.
