The Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing the Accounting Department including accounts payable, payroll, cash deposits, contract invoicing, standard journal entries, general ledger account reconciliation and food stamp accounting.

Essential duties and responsibilities

1. Ensure quality internal and external customer care and service. 2. Supervise accounts payable and payroll. 3. Assist in payroll preparation as required. 4. Reconcile accounts payable to the general ledger monthly. 5. Reconcile bank statements monthly. 6. Process and remit payments for monthly and quarterly payroll taxes and various Federal and State tax reports. 7. Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly. 8. Process monthly employee insurance invoices. 9. Assist in budget preparation as needed. 10. Prepare contract invoices monthly. 11. Provide necessary documentation for annual audit. 12. Conduct random petty cash audits for all petty cash accounts 13. Oversee the patient food stamp process including monthly reporting. 14. Perform special projects and other agency related assignments as requested. 15. Organize and oversee monthly general ledger close process.

Ability to recognize and respond to emergencies and life threatening situations in an appropriate manner. 4. Ability to work in fast-paced environment. 5. Strong customer service and organizational skills. 6. Ability to relate to referral sources and internal Gateway Team Members. 7. Must be able to perform assigned work independently with minimal supervision.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting 10 years Accounting Experience CPA License Programs: Great Plains DATIS Continuum Cloud Payroll System
