Position Summary
The High School Program Manager is responsible for the management of the organization’s middle school programs with the support and oversight of the Program Director. Job responsibilities include program preparation and implementation, staff training and supervision, building and maintaining positive relationships with all school and site staff as well as program grant funders, professional development of high school staff in coordination with the Program Director and CEO, and coordination of timely data collection testing and data collection procedures development working with the Program Director.
Essential duties and responsibilities
Essential Functions ● Ensure all required paperwork and data collection is accurate, up to date and entered on time. ● Working with the Director of Programs, oversees the program budget for the high school programs. ● Ensure all high school program staff are properly trained in the Girls Inc. mission, the Girls Inc. Experience, and all middle school programs. ● Deliver all high school programs for maximum effectiveness and impact. ● Supervises all high school staff, if applicable, with the support and oversight of the Program Director, using the employee-friendly supervision process. ● Acting as an ambassador for the organization, builds and maintains positive and mentoring relationships with parents, existing and new school administrators, and the girls we serve and make sure they understand all elements of the mission of Girls Inc. and the Girls Inc. Experience. ● Develops and implement parent educational programs and trainings with the support and oversight of the Program Director. ● Represents the organization at community meetings, national conferences and trainings, as required. ● Assists in the organization’s grant writing efforts to secure funding for the healthy lifestyles and wellness initiatives, as required. ● Delivers presentations to community members for the purpose of developing mission and program awareness, as needed. ● Supports all staff and programs as needed. ● Understands her role in donor development, fundraising and marketing. ● Acts as a brand ambassador for the organization at all times. ● Supports all staff, program, development events and organization initiatives, as needed. ● Supports the attainment of the organization’s strategic goals and priorities. ● Understands and is able to articulate and promote the mission of the organization. ● Consistently models and promote the behaviors and values associated with the mission of the organization in all written, verbal and non-verbal communication. ● Establishes challenging yet realistic work objectives/standards; develops new and innovative ways to improve existing job functions. ● Takes advantage of opportunities to obtain skill and knowledge through cross-training, completion of special projects, and review of current job-related literature. ● Sets objectives to meet performance and career development goals. ● Participates in training as appropriate to enhance personal and professional skills and abilities. ● Takes initiative to seek training and other personal development/professional growth opportunities to ensure effective job performance. ● Participates in periodic assessment of own performance and develops individual annual performance goals and objectives in consultation with the Supervisor and the CEO.
Qualifications
● Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of people; ● Ability to take direction from others; ● Ability to be self-managed but work well to support a team effort; ● Work well under time constraints, and in stressful conditions; ● Excellent communication skills; verbal and written; ● Strong leadership skills that can energize work teams to respond to the organization’s business needs. ● Must clear all background screenings and education verification. ● Possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record with access to a fully insured automobile.
Education and Experience
● Preferred Bachelor’s degree in education, mental health, or other related disciplines and/or other commiserate experience. ● Strong organization, oral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively and collaboratively as both a team leader and a team member; ● Knowledgeable and experienced in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of data collection methodologies and ability to speak a 2nd language a plus.
Salary/Salary Range
50K - 60K
