Description
The Housing Support Specialist is fully accountable for all day to day property operations, securing and overseeing the inventory of leased properties, and fulfilling all HUD funding requirements for the properties managed. The Housing Support Specialist is responsible for all leasing matters related to the property under management. The Housing Support Specialist is accountable for performing oversight and management of property. This will include conducting apartment and grounds inspections in order to ensure the property provides a safe and attractive residence for tenants. The Housing Support Specialist will perform all grant management duties related to funding of the property (i.e. HUD, Changing Homelessness, Transitional Housing, etc.). The Housing Support Specialist will maintain professional relations with and provides assistance to tenants, grantees, community property managers, and other Human Service agencies, staff, etc. The Housing Support Specialist will also create and maintain a high-performance environment while adhering to all rules, regulations, policies and guidelines.
Qualifications
WORK EXPERIENCE/OTHER REQUIREMENTS: HS diploma or GED with at least four years applicable experience required, bachelor’s degree in a business-related area and at least one-year experience preferred. Relevant experience working as a Certified Apartment Manager (CAM), or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM), or experience working HUD Rapid Rehousing, or Permanent Supported Housing programs, or section 8 Housing Voucher programs recommended. Experience in Microsoft Office (or equivalent) and data entry. Experience in one or more of the following is a plus: sexual assault or domestic violence programs. Must be able to read, write and speak English; bi-lingual capabilities a plus. A valid driver’s license and dependable transportation are required. Vehicle insurance must be maintained. Must meet eligibility requirements for Hubbard House, Inc. vehicle insurance coverage. Due to the serious nature of the Hubbard House mission, must successfully clear background screening: 1) a level-2 background screening which includes a criminal background check through the Department of Family and Children (DCF), Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), and the National Sex Offender Registry (at a minimum); 2) a motor vehicle report (MVR) is also run against the Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV); and 3) a drug, alcohol, and TB screening. Must be able to produce proof of eligibility to work in the United States (E-Verify).
Salary/Salary Range
FULL TIME / NON-EXEMPT PAY: From $18.00-$20.00 per hour
