Primarily responsible for managing and monitoring program grants and contracts. Also responsible for payroll processing, bank reconciliations, and other finance department duties.

Essential duties and responsibilities

Contracts ● Monitor program contracts and grants according to contract and governing statutes for various federal, state and local contract grants. ● Review and analyze budgets and expenditures for program contracts and grants to include contract revenue recognition, monitoring of accounts receivable, and allocation and recording of contract-related compensation. ● Prepare and submit financial and compliance reports to granting authorities and Chamber management. ● Assist with application process for new and renewal contracts and program grants. ● Prepare all items requested by granting agencies in the conduct of periodic audits and reviews and meet with reviewers and auditors as required. ● Advise program departments on revenue, expense budget and compliance issues relating to their specific agreements and programs. Payroll Processing ● Responsible for regular payroll processing including data entry, reconciliation, processing and closing. ● Prepares data and information for auditors. ● Generates and prepares various reports. Bank Reconciliation ● Reconcile bank statements to general ledger for all Chamber accounts including identifying and resolving any discrepancies. Other ● Manage Air Service Research accounts including recording transactions, reconciling bank accounts, and preparing and sending quarterly reports to the Air Service Research board. ● Manage JaxBiz accounts including reviewing and recording transactions, completing bank reconciliations, and preparing quarterly reports for state fillings. ● Attend required contract and grant training sessions, and travel, as required. ● Prepare year-end schedules and assist auditors for annual independent audit. ● Create or update scripts for functions and process as assigned by Director of Finance ● Responsible for other duties as assigned by Director of Finance.

Education and Experience

● Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration required ● 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping or finance required ● Grants and contract administration experience desired ● Advanced degree and/or professional certification a plus
