MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

Job Summary
The Marketing & Communications Manager is responsible for implementing JFCS’ marketing strategies, communications, and public relations activities; serving as a liaison with vendors, marketing and other agency partners; and maintaining external and internal communications. Manages the development and implementation of support materials and services in the area of marketing, communications, social media and public relations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, Marketing, English, or some related field. and at least two years’ experience in marketing, social media, journalism or communications.
Experience
Minimum 2 years work experience in marketing, social media, journalism, communications, or other related field preferably in the non-profit sector. Knowledge of Word Press, Google Analytics, Facebook Business Manager, IMC Campaigns, Adobe Photoshop/InDesign preferred. Advertising Agency experience a plus.
Primary Job Functions
Utilize communication and interpersonal skills to successfully establish and maintain professional relationships and work effectively with all levels of management.
Work with the Director of Development to create a comprehensive social media marketing, communications, and public relations program that will enhance the JFCS image and position within the marketplace and the general public, and will facilitate internal and external communications.
Responsible for creating and implementing JFCS marketing, communications, and public relations activities and materials, including publications, calendar of activities, etc.
Proofreads/copy edits print and electronic materials.
Provides support for the production of publications by acting as a liaison between editors, contributors and vendors regarding assignment of articles, deadlines, review/editing process and photo submissions.
Interface with the Director of Development in providing information essential to the writing and issuing of press releases and media advisories.
Maintain statistics on delivery and open rates for e-mail blasts and e-newsletters; track and report on trends.
Maintain good public relations with local media contacts and community leaders and, maintain media records of all press, news and additional media to be distributed to the board.
Together with the Director of Development, implement and promote all aspects of organization special events.
Take responsibility for providing leadership, with support from the Development Department in JFCS special events.
Website / Social Media
Maintain organizational webpage and the organization’s social media connections, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn.
Maintain organizational webpage and assist with social media updates for JFCS.
Administrative
Manage marketing supplies and back stock of collaterals
Assist with the design, production and/or revision of all JFCS marketing pieces, including the E-newsletters, organizational brochures, letterhead, invitations, holiday cards, and other mailing pieces.
Additional duties may be assigned, as needed
