This a part-time position requiring 15-20 hours weekly. Counselor will provide one-on-one and group counseling sessions with clients as scheduled. Hours will be split between two locations. Flex hours 8:00am – 8:00pm.
This position is a temporary assignment with possible renewal.
Essential duties and responsibilities
• Maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients' treatment. • Encourage clients to express their feelings and discuss what is happening in their lives, helping them to develop insight into themselves or their relationships. • Collect information about clients through interviews, observation, or tests. • Assess clients for risk of suicide attempts. • Fill out and maintain client-related paperwork, including federal- and state-mandated forms, client diagnostic records, and progress notes. • Facilitate group therapy and workshops • Perform wellness checks on clients. • Develop budgetary needs and maintain spenddown. • Provide weekly reports to CEO on potential challenges. • Coordinate with case managers concerning clients who may need additional counseling • Refer clients to outside resources as needed. • Establish relationship with community partners to better serve clients. • Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations. • Assist other staff members as needed to ensure efficiency of the overall organization.

Education and Experience
Minimum Position Requirements: • Graduate level degree • Licensing in the State of Florida • Minimum of 1 year of counseling experience • Successfully pass Level 2 background check and drug screening
