Social Media Specialist
10-20 hours per week are required.
This is a part-time, contract position.

The OneJax office consists of 5 people and several outside consultants. OneJax plans and implement community programs and events throughout the year. We are a growing and influential non-profit that requires a strong social media presence. We are looking for an innovative thinker, a diligent worker and a strong communicator who can increase our social media presence and so we can reach a larger and more diverse audience.

Essential duties and responsibilities
Responsibilities • Assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns • Create weekly and monthly posts to promote company brand on various social media websites • Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability • Support OneJax team during community events • Perform social media marketing research • Respond to comments and DMs on social media platforms • Brainstorm and research ideas for original content • Create compelling graphics to share across social channels • Write social media captions that speak to the company’s target audience • Help create and edit short-form videos • Develop new strategies for increasing engagement • Assist with photo/video content shoots • Ensure brand message is consistent • Create compelling curated social media posts on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter • Participate in regular internal team meetings via Zoom or in person • Work with social networks (posting content to LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and others).
• Experience as a social media specialist or similar position • A bachelor’s degree, or working toward a degree, in an associated area • Excellent critical thinking, interpersonal, communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills • Ability to use social media for impressions and brand awareness • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook • Understanding of social media KPIs, web traffic metrics and SEO • Familiarity with publishing and web design • Ability to develop and implement a corporate social media strategy • Advanced or fluent English (written and oral) • High-speed Internet and computer with MS Office • Strong understanding and experience with Microsoft Excel • Excellent written communication skills • Ability and desire to work remotely Personal Qualities • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines • Accurate, detail-oriented • Consistent, reliable • Fast learner. Education and Experience
Minimum requirements: bachelor's degree or bachelor's degree in progress. Experience as a social media specialist or similar position.
$15-$20 per hour
