We are searching for a Cleft & Craniofacial Nurse Coordinator — someone who works well in a small and large group setting. In this position you will participate and coordinate the delivery of high quality, family-centered and developmentally appropriate patient care. This position will work collaboratively with patients, families, hospital staff, healthcare providers and community groups to optimize patient care and promote activities of the Snyder Family Cleft & Craniofacial Center at Wolfson Children’s Hospital designation. The position is full time Monday –Friday with benefits.
Essential duties and responsibilities
• Utilize evidence-based nursing assessments and interventions during clinical visits, telephone encounters, and electronic communications according to state regulations, regulatory agency standards, and organizational policies and procedures. • Assist members of the healthcare team in providing education to patients, families, communities, and staff concerning aspects of care. • Coordinate medical care of patients across various departments and subspecialty services involved with the team, by demonstrating commitment to the team, flexibility, professional interpersonal, communication, critical thinking, and customer service skills. • Collect and maintain data on patient referrals and consults, to effectively manage patient care. Act as a patient advocate in maintaining communication and promoting continuity of patient care within the department, multidisciplinary teams, and referring/community physicians. • Meet with parents and guardians in inpatient settings to answer questions and provide support prior to discharge and ensure appropriate follow up. • Some travel

Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree preferred associate’s degree with 3-5 years of pediatric experience. RN License by Florida Board of Nursing. • Previous experience in pediatrics preferred • Previous Outpatient experience preferred • BLS certification from the American Heart Association required • 3 years’ experience in pediatric nursing • Employees are required to be vaccinated and adhere to all COVID precautions.
