Description
The Nonprofit Center of Northeast Florida commissions and conducts research on the long-term health of our community and nonprofit sector. Reporting to the Director of Research and Evaluation, the Research Assistant is an internship that will partner to drive and deliver Catalyst of Northeast Florida. Catalyst is a collective initiative dedicated to telling the data-driven story of our region, guided by the knowledge and leadership of nonprofit experts who are at the forefront of community efforts every day. This initiative is part of the Nonprofit Center’s 5-year research agenda and will monitor the wellness of our community in the long-term.
Essential duties and responsibilities
• Develop original dashboard proposals and assist in maintaining the Northeast Florida Indicators Project dashboard. This will enable nonprofits in the region to build interactive data websites to support and reinforce their mission using mySidewalk. • Understand the strategic direction of the Catalyst and oversee the alignment of data to meet program goals and tell a story. • Ensure the Catalyst Connect Issue Forums are taking a data centered approach and oversee the Indicators data set to continuously evaluate the appropriateness and accuracy of the data presented on the website. • In partnership with Indicators, develop a data governance framework and ensure the Convenings adhere to that guidance. • Assist with the logistics and agenda coordination of the quarterly Data Forum and Convening meetings. • Document results, observations and action item from meeting in writing, and track progress against committed deliverables. • May prepare research results for publication or presentation at conferences to include performing literature reviews and writing results and discussions. • May provide consulting to third party nonprofit organizations related to research activities or provide nonprofits with adhoc support and guidance when they have data needs. • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Senior student pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in related field • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities • Strong time-management skills • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills • Prior experience in research preferred • Excellent technical and analytical skills

Salary/Salary Range
$20.00 Per Hour, 20 hours a week.
