Manage and create paid and organic content for the Florida Theatre Social Media platforms and assist the Marketing Director with marketing tasks as assigned.

Details – Compensation is in the $40,000 per year range based on experience, plus health, dental and life insurance; employer retirement contribution; paid vacation; parking.

Essential duties and responsibilities

Administrative Responsibilities · Report to the Marketing Director · Create a Monthly Digital Media Report · Create Social Media “Clippings” for Board Review · Support the mission of the Florida Theatre to enhance the North Florida community's quality of life by providing diverse and memorable arts and entertainment experiences and preserving a unique historic Jacksonville landmark. · Review Strategic Plan and see how Social Media can contribute Marketing Responsibilities · Create a Content Calendar for Florida Theatre · Manage engagement on Social Media Platforms · Respond to Customers on Social Media Platforms · Manage Florida Theatre Social Media Channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) · Create Content to share on Social Media Channels · Adhere to the Announce/On Sale schedule for all shows · Promote each of the 100+ shows the Florida Theatre brings to Jacksonville annually · Place Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. Ads · Work with the Marketing Director to develop short-term and long-term social media strategies · Keep up with event/concert/music marketing trends · Seek out interesting content from acts coming to the Florida Theatre and reshare that content · Support Florida Theatre special events (Blues, Brews & BBQ, the annual benefit party, etc.) with social media coverage · Work with local influencers to generate content to promote events · Produce monthly digital media report · Produce Social Media packet for Board Meetings · Plus, other duties as assigned


· Ability to work in a deadline-driven and fast-paced environment · Must be able to come into the Florida Theatre Office Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, plus occasional nights and weekends as required. Applicants may be subject to completing a background check, credit check, and drug test.

Education and Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, or relevant field · Minimum of 3 years of experience managing a social media account with 10k followers or more · Experience with social media platforms, data reporting · Photography experience is a plus · Experience in the music or event industry is a plus · Video production experience is a plus
