This three-part training series builds nonprofit capacity for civic engagement and advocacy across Northeast Florida in partnership with the Jacksonville Policy Engagement Group. It equips nonprofit leaders with practical, mission-aligned tools to engage communities, use data and storytelling effectively, and advance issue-based advocacy. Through interactive workshops, participants leave with tangible resources such as one-pagers, advocacy toolkits, and action plans to help turn learning into action.
Session 1 (Redefining Civic Engagement) explores how nonprofit service delivery is deeply connected to civic engagement and community trust. Participants will examine how meeting community needs, identifying existing assets, and strengthening partnerships can build collective power and open pathways for deeper community participation. Through guided discussion and activities, organizations will reflect on their current practices, identify opportunities for collaboration, and reframe service as a foundation for long-term civic impact.
