Description
Under the supervision of the CEO, you will provide integral support for the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation’s critical fundraising opportunities. These include, but are not limited to, Third Party Fundraising Event Programs for both the Jacksonville and New York/New Jersey markets, Signature Fundraising event planning and execution, and stakeholder relationship management. You will lead the planning and execution of all tasks related to Signature Fundraising events. Manages the work of event committees, coordinates and executes all event logistics w/ vendors and the logistics for event participants. This role carries a high degree of responsibility for community engagement, ownership of third party fundraising revenue, and event management.
This position will be based in our Jacksonville office.
We are seeking a candidate who can begin on or around July 1. The salary range for this role is $75,000–$80,000 and includes employer-provided benefits such as nine paid holidays, 10 days of PTO after the first 90 days, a hybrid work schedule after the first 90 days, and access to employer-matched retirement and healthcare reimbursement benefits after one year of employment.
Essential duties and responsibilities
• In collaboration with the CEO, Managing Director of NY/NJ market, and the Associate Director of Donor Engagement works to develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan. • Identifies, tracks, develops, manages and nurtures ongoing, critical relationships with community organizations including, but not limited to corporate, civic and educational, institutions for the purpose of creating engagement opportunities and supporting fundraising events. • Identifies, tracks, develops, manages and nurtures relationships with individuals, families, groups and businesses in support of third-party event opportunities, and provides support to third party efforts as required to ensure effective leveraging of fundraising opportunities and consistency of brand. • Working with the Volunteer Coordinator, effectively manage corporate volunteer relationships to create strategic opportunities related to third-party fundraising utilization and engagement. • Gathers, manages, tracks data using Raiser’s Edge NXT and other designated systems, and evaluates and reports outcomes of all third-party event efforts and Signature Fundraising events. • Develops and maintains ongoing relationships with vendors, consultants and donors to ensure high quality resources for future events. • Leads the planning and execution of all tasks related to Signature Fundraising events. Manages the work of event committees, coordinates and executes all event logistics w/ vendors and the logistics for event participants. • Works closely with Communications to ensure consistent branding, and to ensure partnerships, and events are being documented and shared across multiple media. • Collaborate with the Volunteer Coordinator to ensure resources are effectively leveraged and workload is distributed in a manner that allows working staff to focus on most critical work. • Attend community meetings and workshops to facilitate exchange of information and resources. • Demonstrates Jay Fund’s core values: Excellence, Competence, Collaboration, Innovation, Respect, Personalization, Commitment to Community, Accountability, and Ownership. • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Must have 7 or more years’ experience leading special events planning, management and execution. • Self-starter, motivated, and disciplined to achieve financial goals and objectives. • Demonstrated writing ability and public speaking experience. • Excellent problem-solving skills. • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights and weekends, plus flexibility to travel to New York/New Jersey office when necessary. Willingness and ability to work sometimes strenuous activities. • Strong skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office products, especially Word, Excel and Outlook. • Experience using Donor Software, Raiser’s Edge NXT, experience a plus • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well with persons from diverse socioeconomic and cultural groups. • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree • Fundraising experience, to include solicitation of gifts and managing donor relationships and/or event management.
Salary/Salary Range
$75,000 - $80,000
