Human Resource (HR) Manager (NEW!) – FULL TIME EXEMPT
The HR Manager at First Coast Women’s Services leads all human resource functions across multiple centers, ensuring a Christ-centered, mission-driven, and legally compliant workplace. This role supports a staff of approximately 50 by cultivating a healthy organizational culture, overseeing policies and procedures, and equipping employees to thrive. This position is based out of our Kernan administrative office and is an in-person job.

Essential duties and responsibilities

- Recruitment & Onboarding: Develop hiring strategies, lead recruitment processes, and ensure smooth onboarding aligned with FCWS’s mission and culture. - Employee Relations & Culture: Foster a Christ-centered workplace, resolve conflicts, counsel staff biblically, and promote organizational values. - Compensation, Benefits & Compliance: Administer benefits, oversee compensation structures, and ensure compliance with employment laws and policies. - Performance & Development: Implement performance reviews, encourage professional growth, and provide training, leadership development, and succession planning. - HR Policies & Administration: Maintain HR policies and records, update employee handbook, manage HR systems, and provide reports to leadership and the board.

Qualifications

- Strong alignment with the mission, values, and ethical standards of First Coast Women’s Services - Experience in human resources, business administration, organizational leadership, or a related field preferred - Minimum experience of progressive human resources experience, including employee relations and compliance - Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices - Experience with recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee development - Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to advise leadership and support staff at all levels - Experience managing HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks - Proficiency in HR information systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines - Ability to coach, mentor, and guide supervisors and managers on HR matters - Experience in a nonprofit, ministry, or faith-based organization preferred - Commitment to fostering a healthy, respectful, and mission-focused workplace culture

Education and Experience

- Experience in human resources, business, leadership, degree or a related field preferred - A mix of education and work experience may be accepted - Experience working in human resources - Experience with hiring, onboarding, employee support, and performance reviews - Knowledge of employment laws and workplace rules - Experience creating and following HR policies and employee handbooks - Ability to handle private and sensitive information with care - Experience supporting managers and staff with HR questions and concerns - Comfortable using HR systems and Microsoft Office programs - Experience in a nonprofit, ministry, or faith-based organization is helpful - HR certifications such as SHRM or PHR are a plus
