Project May Day, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting local causes, is pleased to announce its upcoming Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament to benefit the Sanctuary on 8th Street. The event will take place on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at bestbet in Jacksonville, FL.

The Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament is part of Project May Day’s ongoing efforts to raise funds and awareness for organizations that provide vital services for humans in Duval County. Sanctuary on 8th Street, a nonprofit organization in Jacksonville, offers a range of services to support kids in under-served neighborhoods with after-school and summertime activities.

“We’re so excited to host this poker tournament to benefit Sanctuary on 8th Street,” said Jill Naponelli, founder of Project May Day. “They have been doing incredible work in our community since 1992, and we are proud to support their efforts.”

The tournament will feature a grand prize for the winner, as well as additional prizes for top finishers. There will also be food, drinks, and music, creating a fun and lively atmosphere for participants.

“We invite the community to join us for a night of poker, fun, and fundraising,” said Jill Naponelli. “Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those served by Sanctuary on 8th Street.”
