Join the City of Jacksonville and OnDefend, Jacksonville-based cybersecurity firm, to launch Securing Nonprofits’ Mission—a free cybersecurity support program tailored specifically for nonprofit organizations across Northeast Florida.

This program is designed to address the growing cyber threats faced by nonprofit organizations of all sizes, offering such services as tailored risk assessments, live cyber awareness trainings, executive strategy sessions, and monthly cyber town halls—all delivered free of charge for nonprofits in Northeast Florida.

Through initial risk assessments, each participating organization will receive a custom security roadmap and be placed into one of three tailored security maturity tracks:

  • Cyber Basics – Establishing foundational safeguards and practices for nonprofits developing an initial cybersecurity foundation.
  • Cyber Compliant – Implementing key frameworks and controls to meet industry standards and cyber insurance requirements.
  • Cyber Mature – Advancing cybersecurity strategy and technology for organizations with evolving security needs.

The program includes security awareness training for staff and volunteers, helping reduce the risk from phishing and social engineering attacks, as well as executive and board-level sessions emphasizing governance, strategic investment, and leadership’s role in cyber defense. In addition, ongoing community town halls will connect nonprofit leaders with cybersecurity experts to stay informed about emerging threats and practical solutions.

OnDefend, a global cybersecurity firm headquartered in Jacksonville, is spearheading the Securing Nonprofits’ Mission initiative to help protect the vital work of nonprofit organizations. With deep expertise in threat simulation and security validation, OnDefend is leading the design and delivery of this program to strengthen cyber resilience across North Florida’s mission-driven community.

The program officially launches at this event on July 7th where Mayor Deegan, OnDefend, and the Nonprofit Center will lead a joint announcement and program overview. We hope you can join us to learn more!
