This three-part training series builds nonprofit capacity for civic engagement and advocacy across Northeast Florida in partnership with the Jacksonville Policy Engagement Group. It equips nonprofit leaders with practical, mission-aligned tools to engage communities, use data and storytelling effectively, and advance issue-based advocacy. Through interactive workshops, participants leave with tangible resources such as one-pagers, advocacy toolkits, and action plans to help turn learning into action.
Session 3 (Using Data & Stories to Drive Mission) focuses on how nonprofits can effectively use both data and lived experience to communicate community needs and inspire action. Participants will explore how to balance quantitative information with ethical storytelling, elevate community voices with care, and tailor messages for different audiences. By the end of the session, organizations will have practical tools and frameworks to clearly communicate issues, priorities, and impact in ways that support advocacy and decision-making.
