The Women’s Center of Jacksonville (WCJ) is seeking a tenacious, compassionate, and visionary leader, skilled at both advocacy and strategic operations.
Serving the First Coast since 1995, The Women’s Center of Jacksonville strives to improve the lives of women through advocacy, support, education and by providing rape recovery services for all genders.
In 2004, the Women’s Center became the certified rape crisis center for Duval, Nassau, and Baker Counties, and in 2014 began providing the sexual assault forensic exams for those counties ( the S.A.F.E. Program).
Programs include 24/7 wrap-around care for survivors of sexual assault; trauma-informed counseling; wellness through prevention and resiliency workshops/training; and support and education for women diagnosed with breast cancer.
Qualifications
Candidates must be able to demonstrate a history of cultivating relationships, raising funds, and supporting a multi-generational workforce. Excellent active listening and communication skills as well as adaptable and highly ethical leadership are essential.
Education and Experience
Experience should include leading and developing teams, working effectively with elected officials and Boards of Directors, providing financial and operational oversight, and cultivating donors. Prior work in Florida related to sexual assault and/or domestic violence is a plus. Licensure as a mental health clinician is preferred with at least 5 years of leadership experience. Proficiency in Salesforce is advantageous.
Salary/Salary Range
Starting salary begins at $130,000/year, commensurate with experience.
