Ability One – Mayport Galley

Responsible for overseeing the overall operation of the galley to ensure quality service, compliance with contractual obligations, and adherence to Navy food service standards.

Essential duties and responsibilities

Job Duties & Responsibilities Perform assigned duties to maximize performance and deliver quality service in accordance with contractual requirements. Assist the Project Manager and Navy Food Service Director in carrying out prescribed responsibilities. Train, supervise, and support employees and clients in their assigned roles. Monitor employee work hours to ensure compliance with budgetary and contractual guidelines. Order, manage, and maintain adequate supplies for dining facility operations. Supervise assigned personnel, organize staffing efficiently, and prepare work schedules. Inspect work areas, equipment, and mess gear to ensure cleanliness and sanitary conditions. Promote and enforce safety practices; ensure all equipment is operated in accordance with Navy janitorial and safety standards. Ensure full compliance with all GINFL Services Inc. and Naval policies and procedures. Maintain strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills while working with minimal supervision. Assist with preparation of Individual Employment Plans (IEPs) and monthly worksite documentation for CARF-selected employees. Enter required data for all direct labor employees into the Source America Portal (QEM, PEI, and DQD). Perform additional duties as outlined in the contract. Job Specifications & Essential Functions: Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Maintain effective working relationships with military personnel and staff. Plan work assignments, order supplies, and inspect work areas in compliance with military standards. Operate a government dining facility in accordance with NAVSUP 486, 421, and other Navy Food Service directives. Work Location: In person

Additional Requirements Demonstrated excellent customer service skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team Adherence to departmental policies and procedures Knowledge of proper maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep of equipment, work areas, and utensils

Education and Experience

Experience Previous kitchen experience in large-volume or institutional food service is preferred.

Salary/Salary Range

$45,000 - $50,000
