Rethreaded is seeking a highly motivational, tutorial, and organized Human Resource Generalist. The Human Resource Generalist will lead and direct the routine human resource functions of Rethreaded. At Rethreaded, there are various needs for each survivor employee, therefore, the Human Resource Generalist needs to be an excellent listener and able to connect with individuals easily and both build and maintain relationships. This position requires high levels of emotional intelligence. This position will provide the chance to truly see lives changed by empowering and developing survivor employees and walking alongside them through various day-to-day challenges.

Rethreaded is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and social enterprise based in Jacksonville, FL dedicated to restoring choice, eliminating vulnerabilities to exploitation, and breaking the cycle of generational trauma for survivors of human trafficking. Rethreaded designs, manufactures, and sells its own brand of high-quality consumer products as well as the products of like-minded companies. Rethreaded currently directly employs 17 Survivors locally and is supporting over 4000 Survivors worldwide through our sales efforts.

Essential duties and responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE - Manage the hiring process for support staff applicants including recruiting, interviewing, reference checks and onboarding. - Work closely with the CFO and Survivor Development Program team to execute the hiring process for program applicants including professional interviews and onboarding. - Provide in-the-moment coaching, conflict resolution and mediation for staff. - Oversee and participate in employee performance appraisal processes, disciplinary meetings, terminations and investigations. - Handle employment related inquiries from applicants, employees, and leadership, referring complex, sensitive, or non-employment related inquiries to the appropriate Survivor Development Program staff. - Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. - Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development. - Ensure all employee documentation, records and files are organized and maintained confidentially. - Conduct basic research, work with databases and do data entry. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - Full time, hourly, non-exempt - Partial benefits - Reports to the Chief Financial Officer and works closely with the Survivor Development Program team - Preference will be given to applicants that identify as a survivor of human trafficking

- You have exceptional character, integrity, honesty and are actively living out the values of Rethreaded. - You have thorough and current knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. - You are tutorial by nature and enjoy helping people develop and grow professionally. - You have good working knowledge of employee pay and benefits but are interested in learning more. - You are organized and are good at planning and execution. - You have solid computer skills; you are very comfortable with spreadsheets and data entry. - You are comfortable presenting in front of groups of all sizes. - You have discernment, situational awareness, and wisdom to manage any situation. - You understand the need to be flexible and sensitive to the needs of individuals with whom you work. - You transition seamlessly from independent work to one-on-one interaction to team-based interaction. - You can be fully present in the moment and transition easily to changing situations. - You have excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills. - You understand the importance of maintaining boundaries, confidentiality and professionalism at all times. - You respect the beliefs of all individuals and are open to discussing difficult topics. - You listen carefully and empathetically to understand the spoken and unspoken message. You communicate clearly to ensure thorough understanding.

Education and Experience

You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field or equivalent work experience.

Salary/Salary Range

$26.00/hour
