We leverage the combined talents, experience, and influence of a diverse group of business and civic leaders to accomplish goals that no individual or organization in our community can achieve alone.

The Civic Council has four initial strategic pillars that, if executed well, will transform Jacksonville for generations to come.
To Inspire people to embrace the world-class initiatives that already exist, and to believe the city can take its place among the best in the country and even world.
To Prepare our youth by building an educational system that prepares them for the workforce tomorrow.
To Connect the city to foster more economic dynamism and a better quality of life.

JOB SUMMARY: The Project Manager will drive the creation of solutions for a variety of signature initiatives, process improvement projects, and influencing efforts. The Project Manager is responsible for strategic and tactical aspects of multiple complex projects, attending to the day-to-day delivery while keeping sight of the overall project objectives with the Chief Strategy Officer. On most but not all projects, the Project Manager will iterate on solutions to fully actualize our strategy. The Project Manager will also provide routine guidance on key deliverables and assist in member and partner relationships through frequent, direct engagement. User-centered solutions, also known as human-centered design, is a creative approach to problem solving through inspiration, ideation, and “sprint” implementation and is a cornerstone of the Jacksonville Civic Council’s strategic implementation framework. It’s a process that starts with the people we are designing for and ends with new solutions that are tailor-made to suit their needs. Human-centered design is all about building trust with people we are designing for; generating tons of ideas; building a bunch of prototypes; testing it, and eventually putting our innovative new solutions out into the community.
