Essential duties and responsibilities

Responsibilities and duties of this position include: Essential functions • Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and scrubbing of flooring and stairs • Clean and sanitize bathrooms • Clean sinks, countertops, toilets, and bathroom stall walls. • Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common area as necessary. • Empty all trashcans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary. • Collect recyclable materials and take to appropriate area to be sorted. • Dusting and cleaning office desks and furniture that are not cluttered. • Clean windowsills, and windows, stairwells. • Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized and safe manner. • Maintain and use cleaning equipment in a safe and proper manner. • Wear proper personal protective equipment at all times. • Proper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicals. • Report any damage to cleaning equipment. • Report maintenance needs to project manager or supervisor. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES: • Ability to follow oral instructions • Ability to work effectively with a team. • Ability to work independently as needed to support the group effort. • Basic knowledge of cleaning products and understanding of MSD’s or willing to learn. • Good client/customer service skills • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Must have previous knowledge of performance-based cleaning or the willingness to learn Must pass a background check PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The work requires routine walking, standing, bending, and carrying items weighing less than fifty pounds. Moving items over fifty (50) pounds utilizes a team lift. (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Salary/Salary Range

$17.75/HR
