The Youth Programs Coordinator & Facilitator is an operational leader responsible for facilitating OneJax youth programs and ensuring their successful implementation. This role is responsible for facilitating Sandy Miller OneYouth programs and coordinating logistics, recruitment, and school partnerships. The Coordinator ensures that programs run smoothly, reflect OneJax’s mission and values, and create meaningful experiences for participants. Commitment to facilitation excellence, relationship-building, recruiting diverse participants, and a deep understanding of pluralism, youth engagement, and dialogue across differences are keys to success in this role. This position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer or other supervisor as designated.

Essential duties and responsibilities

Facilitate OneJax youth programs, using dialogue-based and experiential learning. Build and maintain relationships with school administrators, educators, and community partners to support program participation and collaboration. Recruit and engage youth participants, working with schools, youth-serving organizations, and partners to ensure broad representation across backgrounds and experiences. Coordinate program logistics, including scheduling, materials preparation, and communication with participants, schools, and facilitators. Support program facilitators to ensure program delivery aligns with curriculum design & OneJax standards. Track participation, feedback, and program outcomes to support reporting and continuous improvement. Represent OneJax professionally while modeling respectful dialogue and inclusive leadership in all settings. Other duties and responsibilities as required to meet the strategic goals and mission of OneJax.

Qualifications

Skills & Competencies: Strong commitment to the mission and values of OneJax. Strong facilitation and communication skills with diverse audiences. Experience planning and managing group dynamics in community or educational settings. Ability to build trust and relationships across lines of difference. Ability to manage seasonal program facilitators. Highly organized with strong follow-through. Comfort with flexible scheduling, including occasional evenings or weekends. Ability to work independently within a part-time structure.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in education, youth development, nonprofit, or related field. 2–4 years of facilitating groups of students with ages ranging from 13-20.
