Introducing Bridging the Sector

Welcome to Bridging the Sector… This weekly newsletter is your connection to vital information and resources for navigating local, state, and federal government developments that affect the Northeast Florida nonprofit sector. By curating resources from trusted organizations like the Florida Nonprofit Alliance and the National Council of Nonprofits, you’ll be connected to the reliable information you need to make informed decisions for your organization and the communities you serve. We know that local nonprofits know their communities best and will be hit the hardest and quickly by the federal funding freeze. We also know that these new challenges will increase the demand for essential services and resources at a time when the sector will not be able to respond to the demand. With funding frozen, there isn’t the time to find alternative resources and that just puts more pressure on an already constrained system. We believe the best solutions always come from those closest to the challenges. We also believe we are better together and the Nonprofit Center will continue to actively convene local leaders to identify new ways to build a better future. Best, Dawn Lockhart CEO |
