Description
The Marketing Assistant is primarily responsible for assisting the Marketing Director and other members of the marketing team with the routine day-to-day functions of the marketing department.
Essential duties and responsibilities
• Assist in the creation and execution of the marketing campaigns for 150+ shows and events a year. • Compile final reports (“settlement reports”) of the marketing expenses for each event, including a summary of expenditures and documentation of each expenditure. • Oversee and update the venue signage, such as the marquee, window posters, flat screen slideshows, flyers and standing posters and banners. • Update the event calendars of print, broadcast and electronic publications in coordination with graphic designer. • Create pre-show, post-show, and VIP emails for each show/event. • Create all monthly, weekly email blasts to database. • Update the website with new events, features and general information. • Compose event descriptions and collect content for the monthly Program Book. • Update and maintain venue listings and communications on local and national sites such as VisitJax.com and BandsinTown. • Graphic design work as needed • Photograph and video record events on nights and weekends as necessary. Qualifications
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: • Software - Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office Suite (especially with Excel). • Demonstrated ability to deliver on assigned tasks on time and with superior attention to detail • Strong communication and organizational skills • Creative thinker • Results – Able to set and exceed goals. • Team Orientation - Able to develop and maintain collaborative relationships at all levels. • Communication – Able to persuasively express self verbally and in writing, using correct language, grammar and punctuation, in a professional, diplomatic and empathetic manner. • Time Management – Can organize a professional schedule to achieve strategic goals within or ahead of established time frames.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a relevant field, and/or equivalent experience. • Experience with an email marketing program a plus. • Experience with Canva a plus
Salary/Salary Range
31,000-40,000
