Job Summary:
This position serves as the link between the school and the community, brokering and coordinating the effective and efficient delivery of support services to the school. This position is also responsible for providing in-school services to students and their families, surrounding students with a support community, and empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. The critical features of this position are student support, data collection and evaluation, staff relations and collaboration at the school and within CIS, community networking, professional development, budget management, attending required training, and managing the afterschool program or CIS student caseload. Work Environment:
This position requires a person who can work in a bustling environment with high energy, many distractions, and much laughter and fun. Supervision of students is an integral part of our work. The Site Coordinator must be able to plan and implement activities in person and virtually using various resources and tools. Safety is paramount; thus, planning and preparing are paramount. The duties may frequently call for activities outside in varying weather conditions; employees may be exposed to sunny, wet, humid, or other conditions outside their immediate control.

Essential duties and responsibilities
• Student Support—Build one-on-one relationships with students at the school. Conduct small group sessions on life skills, decision-making, goal setting, etc. Perform home visitations as needed to assess whole family needs. Based on assessments, link students and families to services such as mental health, food, and crisis support. • Data Collection/Evaluation—Ensure all paperwork is current and students' profile folders are complete. Provide requested data at specified times to the Affiliate Office. Gather, enter, and analyze student and family data for individual and programmatic evaluation. • Staff Relations—Collaborate with all CIS staff to maintain a positive CIS image. Understand and demonstrate CIS's mission and goals. • Relationship to School and Community—As part of the school's leadership team, Work closely with the Principal, administrators, teachers, and guidance counselors to align with the school's mission. Provide feedback to school staff, the CIS team, and other resource agencies involved in collaborative services. Create and distribute newsletters about program accomplishments to volunteers and community partners. • Community Networking—Present the CIS mission, vision, and initiatives within the community. Coordinate with the CIS Database Coordinator to provide networking opportunities for school personnel, volunteers, and community partners. Provide leadership in securing community resources to meet students' physical and academic needs. • Professional Development- Attend CIS meetings and training as appropriate, emphasizing program development, technology, and data collection/evaluation. • Budget - Follow the procedure of the Finance Department and complete all the required documents. • Attends required training.
Qualifications
• Effective written and verbal communication skills. • Willingness and ability to effectively communicate with youth. Familiarity with local health and human service agencies. • Flexibility, resourcefulness, enthusiasm, and high energy. • Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and automobile insurance. • A criminal background check is required.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or demonstrated relevant equivalent experience in education, social work, or related field. Experience in working with school-age children. Ability to work with people of diverse cultural backgrounds.
Salary/Salary Range
$40,000 - $44,000
