Description

This part-time position will provide administrative support to the staff of Family Promise of Jacksonville. This agency serves families with children at risk or experiencing homelessness. This position will be for 16 hours per week with flexible hours.

Essential duties and responsibilities

• Assist Family Shelter Advocate with returning calls and emails from those seeking assistance. Assist by conducting preliminary intake for candidates for the shelter. • Assist with correspondence including monthly thank you letters, sponsor packets and more. • Responsible for preparing organizational finance forms including bank deposits, expense reports and monthly invoices. Track in-kind donations. • Manage supplies inventory and orders including research, order, tracking and shopping as needed. • Collect data needed for grant and community reports monthly and maintain supporting data documentation. • Assist with special events including correspondence, programs, and picking up items. These responsibilities will vary. • Greet callers and visitors to the Family Resource Center. • Take photos of donations and families with permission.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft programs include Word, Excel and other platforms such as Zoom, volunteer programs and others. • Valid Florida driver’s license. • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of people who are experiencing trauma. • Good writing and communication skills. • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Education and Experience

Previous administrative experience is a plus especially in a nonprofit setting.

Salary/Salary Range

$19/hour
