The Resource Development position will provide grants research, grants writing, and the development of fundraising strategies to further the mission of the St. Johns Housing Partnership, Inc. This position will include the provision of community outreach; meeting with both established and potential funding sources.
Essential duties and responsibilities
1) Primary tasks include grants research, production/submission of proposals and the creation of fundraising strategies. Review existing information in SJHP databases including current donor lists. 2) Maintain fundraising outreach, and provide all follow-ups required, including quarterly/annual reports to funding sources. 3) Develop reports for Executive Director-This will include a monthly report mechanism that outlines research outcomes, calendar of opportunities and future strategies. 4) Evaluate database format for maintaining mail list. 5) Review options for using direct/digital mail as part of fundraising efforts
Qualifications
1. Knowledge of fundraising techniques critical. Successful fundraising and grants writing experience. 2. Must be comfortable interacting with public and private funding sources/foundations, and with the provision of public presentations. 3. Ability to organize, coordinate, and track SJHP fundraising efforts, including maintenance of database. 4, Self-starting and able to work with minimal supervision. 5. Knowledge of the community is helpful.
